Second Contest Against Loyola Academy Ends in Another Tie

The Fenwick girl’s hockey team faced off against Loyola Academy on Sunday, October 6 in the second of two back-to-back contests against them in the tiering round.

The game kicked off with a lot of back-to-back game play and the first period ended scoreless. In the second period Loyola scored with just over three minutes left in the period. In the third Junior Ella Skotty evened the score with an unassisted goal and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Sophomore goaltender Emma Rychley had 22 saves in the game

The Friars next game is at home against the Grizzlies on October 20 at 7:10 p.m. at the Edge in Bensenville. This will be the final game of the tiering round.
